Case in a Box

  • We invite cases for presentation as "CASE IN THE BOX" during the academic sessions in SNVICON 2025.
  • Images & videos of HD quality
  • Each session will begin with two case in the box presentations of 10 mins duration each. This will be followed by a 10 mins discussion on both the cases together. (30 mins session Case 1 (10 mins) Case 2 (10 mins) and discussion on both cases 10 mins)
  • panel of judges will evaluate each case for an award.
    Awards would be given as
  • a. 1st and 2nd best cases of each day
  • b. 1st and 2nd and 3rd best cases of entire conference.
  • c. All awards would be given during the Valedictory function (only the awardees present would be eligible)
  • Registration is mandatory for submission of cases.
  • You are encouraged to submit as many cases as you like; however selection will be based solely on the basis of merit as decided by the academic committee appointed by the EC. In case of a tie, preference would be given to member of SNVI.
  • Out of the submissions, A total of about 20 cases would be selected for presentation in the conference (in the main hall during the primary sessions)
  • AAll 20 cases will be eligible for awards, provided the presenter has attended the entire conference (access to hall will be barcode controlled)

Please Adhere To The Below Specified Format When Submitting Case Abstracts

  • Title of the Case
  • Clinical History
  • Radiological & DSA Findings
  • Treatment Plan
  • Hardware Used
  • Summary of the Procedure
  • Unique Aspects of Case OR What was different in your case
  • Key Learning Points for the Audience
  • Rationale for Selection of Your Case for Presentation

Criteria for Case Submission

1. Qualifications: The primary author must hold one of the following

  • FNB/SNVI fellows will be given preference
  • DM/DNB Neurology
  • MCh/DNB Neurosurgery
  • DM in Neuroanesthesia

2. Field of Work:The case must be in the domain of neurovascular interventions with a carry home lesson.

3. Originality: The case must be an original case performed by the presentation.

4. Content:

  • Not only unusual or challenging cases are invited, but even routine cases done well with good results and without any complications can be submitted. (Complications can be submitted if tackled well with a good final outcome)
  • Cases should deliver a academic message and be suitable for presentation on an international platform in presence of esteemed international and national faculties.
  • Images and videos submitted should be of HD quality - this would be one of the criteria for case selection (No photos/videos taken by cell phone would be entertained)
  • Cases with follow up would be preferred.
  • At present, only abstracts are invited in the prescribed format. All cases would undergo a peer review process. Authors of the selected cases will be notified via E-mail and will have to submit entire case ppts by 1st June 2025
